The highly anticipated International Canna Pro Expo will be held in Orlando, Florida from October 2-4, 2015. Medical providers and business leaders will converge at the event to discuss the future of commercial marijuana use.
Celebrity, Montel Williams, will be the Key Note Speaker. Williams is the spokesperson for the Partnership for Prescription Assistance, and has been an active advocate for medicinal marijuana use.
Williams suffers from multiple sclerosis, one of the medical conditions successfully treated with cannabis. Williams joins a broad field of experts who will present workshops, seminars, lectures and panel discussions over the three days.
One presenter, Dr. Juan Sanchez-Ramos, is a noted Neurologist who specializes in movement disorders such as Parkinson’s and Huntington’s Diseases. He is both a practicing physician and a Professor of Neurological Studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa, and holds several distinguished awards for his research.
Sanchez-Ramos is an authority in ethnopharmocology who has published work on other plant-based pharmaceuticals. He was an investigator for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) sponsored compassionate use of Cannabis protocol. He is a leading component of treatment, not only for movement disorders, but also, to study changes in the endocannabinoid system, consistent with aging and disease.
Irvin Rosenfeld will share his insights as the longest surviving cannabis patient in the United States. For the past 32 years, the Federal Government has been supplying Rosenfeld with 10 medical grade marijuana cigarettes per day, as part of the government study of four individuals suffering from cancer and other life threatening diseases. He has been invited to speak at several state capitols, and has an interesting story of how he convinced the government to provide his marijuana.
Several experts in marijuana law and trade will represent the business community. Michael Bronstein is the lead consultant for the American Trade Association for Cannabis and Hemp. Bronstein has a unique perspective as a political “insider” and as an authority on electoral analysis. Attorneys and trade specialists will also provide solid information on how the business of cannabis can work.

Medical and recreational matters will be discussed at the ICPE.
Oaksterdam University will provide educational opportunities on the history, legal matters and the science of cannabis. Credits are available for AMA PRA Category 1, and CNE credits for nurses.
Best of all, is that the expo is open to the public. Those involved in the cannabis industry are also invited to network, build contacts and exhibit their products/businesses if they choose. Anyone from companies selling cannabis seeds to those involved in other areas of the marijuana industry should attend!
