K-Vape by Kandypens Vaporizer Review

**Update: The newer version of the K-Vape (The K-Vape Micro DX) has been released and it’s a nice improvement over the older version. Click Here to check out our K-Vape Micro DX review.

The K-Vape is a great new portable unit to hit the market from Kandypens. It’s small, it’s light, and it’s BPA free. Let’s get into how it works.

To purchase the K-Vape, Click Here and you will be taken to KandyPens official website.

How the K-Vape Works

To start, you load up the unit with ground herbs. After loading, you have some choices.

Once loaded, you turn the unit on by clicking the power button 5 times in 3 seconds. The button will glow red, and the small LED indicator will glow red. Once the button glows green, you have reached the first temp setting.

The three temperature settings are:

  • Red: 360°F
  • Green: 380°F
  • Blue: 420°F

The unit takes roughly one minute to reach the red temperature setting, two minutes to reach the green temp setting, and around two and a half minutes to reach the blue temp setting. To switch temperatures, just click the button twice.

The vapor is warm on red, decently hot on green, and the mouth piece is a bit too warm to use without the included silicon pieces on blue. The flavor of the first pack tastes a bit like plastic, but after that it’s very normal.

The vapor is fairly dense, and it extracts very well. The chamber holds 0.2-0.3 grams, and for optimal airflow, don’t pack it down too tight. The density of the vapor is actually quite surprising, as usually small units like this don’t produce great vapor. But the vapor quality you get out of this thing is awesome.

As far as battery life goes, you can probably get 5 sessions with it before it needs to charge. This is a solid amount, as comparable units of this size usually only get 3 sessions before the battery dies.

The only real major con of this vape is that the body is plastic, which is not the most durable material. So far it has held up, but I feel like a far drop onto a hard surface might break the vape, or at least damage the body in some way. But, as I stated before, it’s BPA free, so it is safe to use.

This unit also comes with a lifetime warranty, so even if you did accidentally break it, they will replace it for you.

Where to Buy the K-Vape?

If you want to pick one of these up, the best place to buy is directly from Kandy Pens official website. As of now, they have it for the lowest price online. Also, you will be able to check out their other accessories and add-on items, should you want to include those as well.

Final Thoughts

Overall, this unit is pretty awesome. It’s light, it’s easily portable, and best of all, it delivers what over $200 units do for less money. If you’re just starting out vaping, or you’ve been vaping for a while and want to add a small portable to your collection, this is perfect for that too. Definitely a great unit to add to any collection, or to start one of your own.

  • I bought a KVape and so far, very disappointed. The company said battery charge should last 3-4 hrs but I’m lucky if I get 20 minutes total! In your review, you said you get “5 sessions” per charge. How much total time in minutes? Customer support has been great but the replacements have the same problem. Am I misunderstanding what the KVape is capable of?

    • For me, a session is usually about 5-10 minutes, and I get about 4-5 depending on my heat setting. If you’re only getting 20 minutes out of the vape, there’s something wrong with it.

However, you said you’ve been having the same problems with the replacement, so it may be time to just bite the bullet and get a different vape. You can currently get an Arizer Solo (a workhorse of a vape with a great track record) for around$120-$140 brand new on eBay. I’d recommened either thegolfmiester or myrubberneck on eBay as reputable sellers with fast shipping and great customer service.

You’re welcome to get a replacement, but if you’ve had this many problems it might not be worth it. The kvape isn’t the most sturdy vape, so even if you get one that works, who knows how long it’ll work for.

  • I also had Problems with My kvape. Customer support didn’t help and was lying to me. Then they didn’t answer at all. My advice: Buy somewhere else, it’s not worth the stress!
